Ari Goldwag has been working on a new single with Avi Wisnicki that will be called Boi Be’shalom – return to the palace. Ari has been doing a lot of collaborations recently including 5 new singers that he featured on his latest album. Ari officially announced the single on Monday and gave a teaser to a lot more coming. He said “look out for the first taste of new album 2021… even as 2 videos are being worked on for Yesh Li Hakol and Ashira Lashem with Dovid Pearlman from the new album 2020.
We had already known Ari was going to release 2 more music videos for his new album 2020 – a.k.a Yesh Li Hakol, but this news that Ashira Lashem is one of them comes as a shock.
After being Cancelled just a few weeks ago, the Ashira Lashem music video with Ari Goldwag and Dovid Pearlman is now officially back on track. There had been rumors that the video was going to be cancelled a few weeks ago and then we found a video of Dovid Pearlman saying he doesn’t think the video is happening anymore. Dovid had stated reasons such as – him and Ari getting very busy, and shutdowns going on in Israel where Ari lives and he is in Yeshivah.
Since then the lockdown on Israel has been lifted. Dovid has told Jewish Singers in a statement “IYH will be filming it in a few weeks! It’s back on since Israel lifted the lockdown BH”
Jewish Singers has confirmed the video is back on and according to Dovid is “being filmed in a few weeks”. Since that would be right before Pesach it is likely Ari won’t release the video until after Sefirah.
Ari has previously made a new accapella album every year and a real album only every once in a while. Assuming New Album 2021 means a regular album it’s release would be very soon after Ari’s latest album. Ari released Yesh Li Hakol in the summer of 2020 and even if he released his next album the last day of 2021 it would be a short 18 month gap. Ari would also have released 3 new music videos and a single during the time between the 2 albums.
It’s clear something has changed with the way Ari is doing things now. Possibly Ari is raising money and is able to release more often or maybe the Yesh Li Hakol album did very well. Another possibility is Ari is trying to help grow smaller singers while gaining popularity himself by collaborating very often.
Ari didn’t release any other information and isn’t yet raising money for the album so we can mostly just speculate. Ari did not respond to Jewish Singers’ request for comment.
